About Jeff: As the Chief Executive Officer for the Western Fire Chiefs Association, Jeff is nationally known as an innovator and ambassador for excellence through fire department customer service. He advocates for the ability to demonstrate smart government while still maximizing the value of services provided to the community.
Chief Johnson spent 32 years in the fire service, retiring as the fire chief and chief executive officer for Oregon’s Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) after 15 years of service. During his time as the chief executive, TVF&R became recognized as one of the nation’s premiere fire and rescue service providers. He has authored two fire service books and is a featured guest lecturer across the nation.
Jeff draws upon his experience and expertise to provide engaging video-based courses about Intentional Culture, Marketing, Taxpayers as Customers, and Service. The courses are beneficial to everyone in the fire service from line personnel, to officers and administrators.
